The Village Call : A Gathering of Kindred Spirits
This invitation is for the dirt lovers, the sky watchers. It is for the multi-generational hearth dwellers, the young humans and their elders, the life schoolers, the queer kin, and the modern pioneers. We are calling those who long to be more than just observers of the wild, those ready to become its most capable allies.
Whether you are five or eighty-five, if you carry a willingness to get your hands in the loam and your heart in the rhythm of the seasons and conservation, there is a seat for you at this hearth. As a Bandrui (non male celtic druid), Ashe facilitates this space as a living bridge between the land based past and our regenerative future.
The Investment: A trust-based sliding scale – from the Seed to the Canopy levels – honoring sustainability, trade, and communal access for every lineage.
Where: Bioregional classrooms hidden across the parks, trails, and partner lands (Sacred Earth Arts) of our shared geography.
THe Gatherings (Soil to sky)
Beneath the rustle of the oak canopy and the quiet wisdom of the mycelium lies a classroom without walls. Moss & Compass invites families to step away from the digital hum and into the rhythmic pulse of the living earth. This is a returning; it’s a re-remembering of our place within the wild tapestry.
In our founding Soil Cohort, we don’t simply observe the land – we apprentice ourselves to it. While moving over land together, and learning to move as a group, we will bridge the gap between human curiosity and ecological stewardship. We will play. Together, folx and their families become co-explorers, uncovering the secrets of 40 acres of Sacred Earth Arts land and beyond, and learn to navigate the future with a compass calibrated by earth herself.
What to Expect
- Rooted Learning: Deep dives into plants as allies and indigenous ways of knowing, moving through the land, and listening to earth’s song.
- Collective Growth: Shared adventures designed for the whole family to learn side-by-side.
- Eco-Skill Mastery: Practical, land-based wisdom that turns “nature lovers” into “nature keepers.”
Come get your hands stained by the earth and your imagination fueled by the forest. The trail is open, and the moss is calling.

Sigil Skill Cohorts
Join the Cohort
We are starting with a small founding group,
SOIL AND THE GATHERING OF THE HEARTHSTONE
If this resonates, we invite you to step in.
Spots are limited and filled on a rolling basis.
Let’s be curious together.
Timber Track: We gather twice a week in rhythm with the natural world. Over time, something shifts: curiosity sharpens, confidence grows, and both kids and adults begin to know things—not just hear about them.
What we build here has a nucleus of structure but is not pre-packaged. Like the forest floor, the strength (mycelium) is built in the willingness to explore and connect.
This is organic, responsive, and shaped by the people who show up.
Sigil Skills Acquisition is broken into cohorts
Our learning follows the growth pattern of a tree:
SOIL — The Hearth
Where we remember how to show up. How to prepare for adventure. Feet meet ground, hands meet earth, and the body learns again what it means to be held and to belong.
ROOT — The Living Ground
Where we begin to listen. The land speaks in pattern and presence, and we learn to read what has always been there.
BRANCH — The Working Limb
Where skill takes form. Fire answers, tools shape, and the quiet knowing of the hands begins to return.
CANOPY — The Guiding Crown
Where we step forward. Not above, but among—learning to carry others, to see further, and to move with responsibility.
SKY — The Open Field
Where it all opens. Nothing performative, no ego – only the path you now know how to walk, and the wisdom to help others find their way.
MYCELIUM — The Living Network
Where we weave together. Beneath and between, knowledge travels, relationships deepen, and the unseen becomes what holds us.
This structure gives us direction but not rigidity.
We move with the group, the season, and what’s alive in the moment.
Why This Matters
Time outside is valuable.
But without skill, it often stays surface-level.
This cohort gives participants the ability to:
- feel prepared instead of unsure
- explore more freely
- build independence over time
- Learn to be a steward
- Upskill together
How It Feels
We move at a human pace.
We pay attention.
We practice things more than once.
Children are not rushed.
Adults are not expected to already know.
Everyone learns. It changes how you experience being outdoors.
The Timber Track
The Timber Track represents our primary cohort-based journey. It is a progressive, multi-year curriculum designed to ground folx and their families in the rhythms of the earth, moving from foundational connection to advanced wilderness mastery.
