The Concept : The Hearthstone represents the foundation of the society. Before we can build, we must know how to gather, stay safe, and respect the boundaries of the wild. It is the “diagnostic” track where we establish the social and environmental contract.
THe 6 Sigils
These are the competence benchmarks. Mastery of each skill earns you a “relic sigil” which gets added to the Hearthstone
The Path Seeker
completes varied terrain hikes (on and off trail) with steady pacing, spatial awareness, and group cohesion; demonstrates hiking “best practice” techniques.
the Pack rat
builds, carries, and adapts a complete day pack effeciently; explains each item’s purpose and adjusts for weather shifts and duration.
The Meadow Feaster
practices cultivating sharing food experiences outdoors that are both enjoyable, consider the health of the space we are in and support performance.
The Land Reader
executes full separation protocol (stop, stay, signal) and reads landscape in real time: identifies water flow, elevation, human impact, and safe movement zones.
Moss guardian
understands Leave No Trace, how to ethically forage and caring for and protecting the wild spaces we are in relationship with
CIrcle Keeper
enhances group experience by sharing artistic expressions, meditations, how to’s, etc. Facilitates experience for group.
